Camp + Action— 12.-20. April 2026 — Heidelberg— #EndCement
TOGETHER AGAINST THE CEMENT INDUSTRY'S WORLDWIDE DESTRUCTION.
Why the protest wave?
As already Last year We come together directly in front of the headquarters of Heidelberg Materials – because the company has a lot to answer for.
Heidelberg Materials poisons the air, fuels the climate crisis and destroys ecosystems and habitats. This is why communities and activists are fighting back worldwide against the group:
- Pakistani Farmers sue Heidelberg Materials because of floodings which have been caused also by the huge CO2 emissions (larger than that of the whole of Belgium) of the group.
- In Indonesia the Samin resist the destruction of their Livelihoods.
- Fighting in the West Bank Palestinian and Israeli activists together against the mining of materials in the West Bank in violation of international law, mining of raw materials.
- The Togolese Diaspora opposes support for Autocratic regimes in Togo by the group.
- The Sahrawi Fight against Heidelberg Materials support of Maroccos imperialist occupation of Western Sahara .
- And these are just Some examples.
But all these struggles – as well as our demands for a Compensation Fund as well as an Independent Human Rights Report – are systematically ignored by the corporation.. At the same time Heidelberg Materials is allowed to portray itself as generous patron of the classic music festival "Heidelberger Frühling" as generous patron ... which we won't allow any more!
This is why there will be actions of resistance in and around Heidelberg in parallel to the End Cement Camp ,where we want to meet, discuss and continue to train together ...
- Solidarity: What are the struggles against Heidelberg Materials and how can we support them?
- Regernerative Building Sector:What can a world without cement look like?
- Resistance: With what strategies and tactics can we effectively fight for a better world?

LOOKING BACK

A look back at the wave of protests in 2025
We made quite an entrance with a wonderful protest camp and bold actions in 2025!
Are you there?
Come on over! If you want to have all the updates, subscribe to the newsletter here – then we can also roughly estimate how many are coming!
/
The Camp
Directly in front of the Heidelberg Materials headquarters "Park an der Uferstraße".
From Heidelberg Central Station you walk On foot Simple 15 minutes north. Alternatively, take the Tram lines 24 or 25 and after 5 minutes exit at the "Jahnstraße" .
Please note that the Jahnstraße tram stop is not wheelchair accessible. You will need to take a bus, e.g. the 32 to Jahnstraße or the 31 to Bunsengymnasium, which unfortunately involves a relatively long walk.
Yes, it will be a KüFa ("kitchen for everyone"). While people are already busy planning, they are happy during the camp about every person who helps in the kitchen and a Donation between 3-5€ by day to cover the costs!
We wish that the camp is accessible to all people, but we are aware that we may not be able to remember some needs or not meet our limited capacities. If you have certain needs that will make you easier access to the camp and the program, let us know that we are doing our best to fulfill them. Please contact post@end-cement.earth. If you prefer to telephone, you can also simply leave your phone number there with a hint of barrier reduction, then a person will contact you to talk about how we can allow you to participate in the camp.
To the place:
The camp is located in a park. There are fortified ways, but some tents are also on the meadow. Some tents will be designed with lawn protection panels. We have ordered a barrier-free toilet, unfortunately there are problems with the company, so we cannot guarantee that we will have a barrier-free toilet from the outset. But we work with the highest Prio! Ask how the status is if this information is relevant to you.
The whole terrain can be reached without stairs, but parts of the terrain are lazy.
The place is accessible by public transport (see "Where does it take place", unfortunately the stop at the camp is not barrier-free). If you need help on arrival and departure, please contact us.
To the program:
For reasons of money and capacity, we have not been able to translate or sign language. But also here: Ask us, we may also be able to organize translation very spontaneously!
The programme points are mostly in German, sometimes in English. If you have a hearing or visual impairment, we can make sure that you can always sit in front.
For dinner:
Our kitchen provides vegan food three times a day. We have no allergy-free cuisine, but try to cook low allergy.
Here too: For all allergies, incompatibility or other needs, register with us and we look at what we can do. Individual solutions can often be organized quickly and well.
Contact persons:
At the camp there will be an awareness group that can always be addressed. In addition, we will provide a number where you can call to share requests for accessibility. You'll find them on the camp, or you'll send us an email with your number before we can call you.
1. TENT
In the camp there is free space for camping, as well as electricity, toilet and water. You do not need to register, but of course bring your own tent, etc.
But beware: We are in Heidelberg city centre and nearby is a not too busy road, so bring earplugs if you need them.
2. BED EXCHANGE
We try to organize a bed exchange, through which sleeping places for the camp period can be offered, searched for and mediated by other active people.
Are you looking for a bed? Get in here!
You can offer a slaaf place? Get in here!
Anyone who wants to can stay the whole week, and we'd be delighted to have you! But of course, every single day is worthwhile, especially the weekend.

We reject all forms of violence and always strive for a peaceful solution to all conflicts. We reserve the right to civil disobedience. We are strictly nonviolent in our actions and our communication with the public, the police and each other. We treat everyone with Dignity and respect.
- In actions of civil disobedience we organize ourselves in Affinity groups. For activists we provide Action Trainings and Legal Workshops .
- We are an Non-party campaignAccordingly, advertising for parties on our actions, whether by flags or flyers, is prohibited, unless expressly communicated otherwise in advance. We are happy to cooperate with all parties, associations, organizations, movements and NGOs that share our principles and goals and are happy to accept support.
- Speeches, flags, banners, posters, flyers, stickers and other signs which have no link with our goals or contradict our consensus should not be shown in our actions .
- Anyone who does not adhere to our consensus is not desired in our actions and we reserve the right to actively enforce this point of consensus. Our approach is decided in the context of the situation.
We need your help!
A camp does not organize itself, but we manage it together, whether during cooking, awareness or the safety of the camp! At the Infopoint, shift plans will hang and in the morning plenary we will discuss the day together. There is also a signal chat for short-term tasks.
And since a camp also costs money, we are happy about each Donation!
