39 Pakistani farmers: women sue Heidelberg Materials and RWE for damages for destruction caused to them by the devastating floods of 2022 Floods that would not have happened without man-made climate change. Heidelberg Materials and RWE have made a significant contribution to this and are therefore being made responsible by Pakistani farmers.
They are supported by medico international, ECCHR and partner organisations in Pakistan and Germany. The lawsuit follows the landmark judgment in the Saúl Luciano Lliuya case against RWE and could become another milestone for global climate justice.
In the event, we inform about the background and the political significance of the lawsuit and discuss for levers for more climate justice. All interested parties are warmly invited.

On 11.04. from 8 p.m. we meet for our first solo party at Café Leitstelle. A day before the End Cement Camp we dance on the future concrete ruins, from 8 pm there is bar, table tennis tables, sofas and exchange to the camp and from 9 pm will be placed.

The cement giants
The cement industry is Fire hazards. It is one of the biggest climate killers, blowing poisonous dust into the air and responsible for a grey wave of environmental destruction.
First and foremost: Heidelberg Materials.
The multinational cement giant has now become Climate Killer No. 1 of all German corporations and wants to prevent the construction turnaround with bending and breaking. That must stop.
The Secret Climate Killer
Heidelberg cement giant hits every year More CO2 emissions from BASF, RWE and even the whole of Austria!
Why? Because cement production not only swallows up enormous amounts of fossil fuels. But also because the heart of the cement, the limestone, is a fossil raw material.
And their "green solution"? Unfortunately not much more than A lot of greenwashing and extreme techno-optimism.
Environmental destruction
Nothing devours as many resources as cement and concrete production.
Whether limestone, sand or gravel, the quarries are getting bigger and bigger and the local ecosystems are increasingly destroyed.
No wonder that Indigenous communities long against Heidelberg Materials fighting.
Particulate matter and heavy metals
From the cement works increasing pollutants. Whether nitrogen oxides, heavy metals or carcinogenic dust...

Avoid new construction and critically question demolition. Reconstruct existing buildings and distribute them fairly.

Wood instead of concrete
Wherever possible, use other raw materials, such as wood & clay, or reuse concrete (components).
EFFICIENCY
Future-oriented cement
Produce the cement we need as green as possible and without human and international law violations.
